The Good: A fun game that injects life blood into a failing console genre.
Easy and intuitive controls make for a fun experience. Graphics were
changed out to a more sim like feel that fits the game perfectly. Game types
include: single, player, multiplayer, scenario play and game of the week (a
weekly game scenario updated by the developer weekly). On avg. games
last 4-6 hours which makes this a great pick up and play strategy game as
each game will be unique in terms of landscape, enemies and resource
layout.
The Bad: The game does suffer some slow down when it gets really hot
and heavy with action. Those who love to micromanage resources may find
the controls somewhat limited. Combat at times will feel broken as you
see lesser units beat higher rated units with unseen odds.
Overall: This is a fantastic game that has a ton of replay value! Even though
the game is a turn based game, it never quite feels that slow. I highly
recommend to anyone who loves this genre or for gamers who are curious
about the genre. You can’t go wrong with this game.
